Summer Results Information

31.08.2020 Not all Pearson BTEC grades have arrived in school. We will send the results out as soon as all BTEC qualifications have been received for all courses ie. a complete set. This is not a school issue, this is an awarding body issue. Please be reassured we are working very closely with the awarding bodies and we will issue new results slips once we receive all the grades. Thank you for your understanding

We are hoping to receive the Cambridge National results tomorrow (Tues 25th August 2020) and we will be emailing them to student’s accounts. This applies for students who studied iMedia and Sport. Once we receive the BTEC grades from Pearson, we will also email these out to students.

We have been notified by OCR that they will not be releasing Calculated Grades to schools until next Tuesday, 25 August 2020. If you have studied a Cambridge National (vocational) subject this means that we cannot issue you with a final grade until then.

This applies to the following subjects:

OCR Level 1/2 Creative iMedia & Sports Studies.

A member of staff from The Academy will contact students on Thursday August 20th to discuss OCR grades for iMedia and Sport.

Pearson BTEC grades

A statement from Pearsons regarding BTEC grades

Following Ofqual’s announcement that A Level and GCSE students are to receive Centre Assessment Grades, we have reviewed the impact on BTEC students and taken on board feedback from teachers, schools and colleges. Following our review and your feedback we have decided to apply Ofqual’s principles for students receiving BTECs this summer.

This means we will now be regrading all the following BTECs – BTEC Level 3 Nationals (2010 QCF and 2016 RQF), BTEC Level 1/2 Tech Awards, BTEC Level 2 Technicals and BTEC Level 1/2 Firsts.

Due to the regrading of BTEC grades, Y11 and Y10 students will not be receiving BTEC grades on Thursday 20th August. A ‘Q’ code will replace BTEC grades on student results slips. When BTEC grades have been received from Pearson they will be forwarded to students.

They subjects this will impact on are:

Health and Social Care
Constructions and the built environment
Performing Arts
