Introduction to Kooth for all Parents & Carers in the Wakefield District

KOOTH is live throughout the district of Wakefield supporting all young people 11-19 year old. Kooth offers personalised, fully anonymous, mental health support with fully qualified counsellors, 365 days a year.
KOOTH are now offering a free online session to all parents and carers throughout the Wakefield District to learn more about Kooth and ask any questions about the service. This one off online event will take place on Thursday 30th September at 7:00pm

KOOTH offers therapeutic support to young people between the ages of 11-18. The service is funded by the Clinical Commissioning Group so completely free to all schools and services working with young people in Wakefield. 
There is no criteria or referral process. Children and young people can access support for ANY issue they may be experiencing. This may include; Body image, self-esteem, bereavement, academic pressures, suicidal thoughts, friendships, sexuality etc.

As well as talking to our counsellors, young people can message the team 24 hours a day, access our fully-moderated support forums, online magazine and other self-help tools.
