Extended partial closure letter to Year 8 parents/carers

 

Further to my letter to you on 7 January, I am writing to confirm that the partial closure that was implemented for Y8 from Monday 10 January to Thursday 13 January will be extended to include Friday 14 January. Unfortunately, we continue to have a significant number of staff absences and therefore we cannot fully staff their lessons and keep students safe. We continue to struggle to secure supply staff from agencies which has resulted in the academy having to make the decision to extend the closure to Y8. However, the academy will reopen to Y8 on Monday 17 January. If a further partial closure is required next week, we will ensure that this will not affect Y8 students.
